Staying safe with Halcyon Care Homes

Staying safe, having fun, enjoying life

Here at Halcyon Care Homes the health, safety and well-being of our residents, visitors and team members are at the heart of what we do and is of paramount importance to us.

Halcyon Care Homes priority continues to be the health, safety and wellbeing of all residents, staff, and visitors. Please be reassured that all actions taken will reflect the current and active guidance provided for us by the UK Government and Public Health (England).

Covid Guidelines 2022:

On admission new residents should take both of the following:

  • A PCR test within 72 hours, before admission (or a lateral flow test if they have tested positive for COVID19 in the past 90 days).
  • A lateral flow test on day of admission (day zero).

Visitors: All visits to our homes will continue to be booked in advance to allow us to manage the number of people attending at any one time, ensure safe testing is carried out when you arrive, and safe visiting practice is maintained.

The number of visitors and the duration of each visit will no longer be limited so long as safe visiting practices are maintained.

All visitors must not enter the home if feeling unwell. Masks must be worn at all times.

All procedures put in place are to ensure everyone is protected and our homes remain COVID free.

These procedures include:

  • Regular testing of both our residents and team members (any residents moving into the home will also be tested and isolated following the guidelines published at this time)
  • Appropriate PPE is worn by all staff members in the building.
  • COVID-19 training is completed by all team members and updated on a regular basis.
  • Stringent cleaning schedules are in place with additional cleaning due to the current pandemic.
