Sandcastles, paddling pools, sweets, and photo cut outs filled Marham House as residents woke up on Bank holiday Monday, they were surprised to see that their home had been transformed, for a special day at the seaside. At Halcyon Care Homes we like to get our residents out as much as possible, with COVID restrictions still preventing this, Marham House decided to bring the beach to the residents.

To add to the fun, team members dressed up, fish and chips were served in cones, and residents took part in seaside games and quizzes.

Marham House, are consistently looking for innovative way to keep their residents active and involved in the events within the home. This themed event was thoroughly enjoyed by both residents and staff alike.

One resident commented “I always love to attend the activities that the lifestyle team put on, its good to support all the lovely things that are organised.”

Another resident stated, “It was a lovely party and we had a lovely day, so thank you.”

Our Lifestyle Manager said “It was such a fun day. It was great to see the residents using the props and really getting into the spirit of the day. It was very rewarding too that all the residents were complimentary and appreciative of the room décor and fantastic traditional food”.
