After a year of extremely difficult circumstances for the whole of the UK, our Prime Minister finally announced the news that loved ones and families had been waiting to hear, face to face visits could resume at Care Homes from the 8th of March 2021.
Following this Marham House Care Home developed stringent cleaning and testing procedures to ensure the upmost safety and precautions are in place to keep our residents, their loved ones, and our staff as safe as we possibly can.
Every resident can nominate a person to visit them indoors, visitors are tested before the visit and are required to wear PPE during their time together.
It was a truly spectacular and heart-warming moment to see our residents finally be able to hold hands and rejoice in the moment of being reunited with those who mean the most.
Denise the daughter of a resident commented “It is so lovely to see Mummy in person and be able to hold her hand. I am very grateful for how well the Marham House team have cared for her and appreciate how they keep me up to date with videos and photographs of all the activities Mummy joins in with”.
It has been a long road throughout the pandemic, but we are hoping this is our first step on our roadmap to normality, we look forward to a time where we can welcome families back into the homes to take part in activities, to celebrate special occasions, and to enjoy life together.
