The period between January and Valentine’s Day is a very popular time for those looking for love. Maybe it’s just a distraction from the cold nights and January blues but this is the month when love becomes a focus for many.

We have already been preparing for Valentine’s Day, we love to decorate the home with words of love and pretty hearts and flowers. We have turned our attention to love poems and are enjoying hearing each other’s stories of past loves and even those dates that turned out somewhat disappointing.

Love makes the world go round and we all need it in our lives.

We have today spent a lovely morning crafting, designing, and colouring, cutting, and pasting, we produced some lovely decorations. We laughed as we discussed our great loves and enjoyed hearing about weddings and anniversaries. We offered dating advice to some of the team members, and they told us all about dating protocol in the 21^st century, things have changed, a lot. I think that we had a better time of it, it certainly seems that things were more straightforward in our day.

We are looking forward to more fun reminiscing and to more crafting ready for our Valentine’s Day celebrations. We know that we will enjoy a themed lunch and are told that the team have some other activities up their sleeves.

In the meantime, we’ll carry on crafting.
