Respite Care
Marham House Care Home offers short-term respite stays for older people who might not want or need to move in permanently, yet who need some extra help from time to time. Whether they are recovering from surgery or illness, or want to give their family carer a break, short stays can be organised and then repeated as often as they are required.
Any resident on a short break can take part in all daily activities and will receive the same high quality of care that full-time residents enjoy. A short break can also be an opportunity to trial the wonderful facilities we have on offer before deciding to make the move permanent.
Dementia Care
Living with dementia can be a very difficult and lonely experience; our home provides the care and support needed to ensure it doesn't have to be that way.
All staff undergo a training course to provide them with insight into the various forms of dementia and the complexities that can sometimes go along with it.
Residents living with dementia receive the patience, empathy and dignity they require in order to sustain their overall well-being.

Our staff are equipped with the latest technology enabling them to view and update care records instantly; allowing them to devote more of their time to listen and respond to residents' needs.
Our friendly, well-trained staff understand that every individual has different needs, therefore we take the extra time to get to know everyone's likes, dislikes, passions and hobbies.
In doing this we can support and care for individuals in the best and most comfortable way. We are also able to accommodate those looking for short-term, respite stays (subject to availability).

Well-being means experiencing an overall feeling of happiness and satisfaction with life. It is achieved by being able to do all the things that please you. At Marham House Care Home, we work hard to enhance well-being. We talk to each resident about what they like and don't like, as well as what they need in order to feel physically active and mentally stimulated. Well-being also comes from being grounded and settled, which is why we encourage residents to continue seeing their friends and family, as well as keeping up their social life outside of the home.

Activities for a healthy mind and body
Marham House Care Home fills each month with a varied selection of activities so that resident can always find something that interests them. It's important to us that our residents maintain their health as well as their sense of fun. From theatre trips and shopping excursions to day trips to national treasures and monuments, we make sure that if you want to get out, we'll take you out.

Lovely tea and cakes
I spent an enjoyable three hours at The Mad Hatters Tea Party. There was plenty of lovely tea and cakes. The staff had worked so hard. The tables looked authentic and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

I used this care home for respite after a nasty fall. I found it a very helpful and pleasant 2-week stay. Kind, cheerful and helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. Pleasant, bright rooms, nicely decorated and furnished. Friends and relatives always made welcome, cleanliness good. Activities got me joining in, I loved the whole experience.
